The gift

Today I had to go to the Chiropractor to be able to move yet again. J had to go get registered at school so I kept Bear with me. He is a joy to take along places so I just brought him along too. My Chiropractor and the staff enjoy seeing him so I knew it would be great.

While we were there waiting in a room to be seen I sat Bear up in a chair with his magnadoodle and he was happy as a lark drawing "pershuns".

The Dr. comes in and talks to him for a bit and gives him some candy... after okaying with mom of course :).

He asks Bear if he has been playing hard lately and if he likes sports, like football. Bear agrees with the words "feeb ball".

I then told the dr. that we were outside playing soft pitch baseball with him the other day. I told him we took his tee away and started teaching him stance and composure. He was knocking them out of the "park" lol. Even with just a plastic bat and ball... he was doing amazing with swinging.

The dr disappears and comes back with a tiny little red glove. Bear sees it and his eyes light up. He says "GLUB". I almost started crying. What a sweet gesture to give him something so precious. The glove was his sons' when they were little and he said he has had it in the closet waiting to give it away for a year now and that he found the perfect candidate. THANK YOU!

He has been with us through the thicks and thins of this journey so he has taken a special liking to "our" children. He is such a great Christian man and is as pleasant as you please!

Bear took the "glub" said "thank you" and got help putting it on. We went into the therapy room and he would not even take it off to play with the toys in there. The Dr. was tickled by the immediate attachment! I told him he would love it and use it well for certain! :)

What a sweet gift! I sure wish I could have seen Bear's face when the Dr brought in that glove. I bet it DID make his day!

I think Andrew has decided to go back to school to finish up his degree.
Is that what your husband is doing?
I'm totally nervous about it, but know it's something he really wants to do.
