Prayers on this Friday...

This is a verse and prayer I adapted from another site of a friend we're praying for, this afternoon I have it on my heart form Bri...

"Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story,
those He redeemed from the hand of their foe....
He brought them out of darkness and deepest gloom
and burst their bonds apart....
He sent forth His word and healed them;
He rescued them from the grave....
He stilled the storm to a whisper;
the waves of the sea were hushed.
They were glad when it grew calm,
and He guided them to their desired haven" (Psalm 107:2, 14, 20, 29-30).
O our Father, thank You for the many testimonies of Your goodness to Your people, and even specifically to Johnny and Bri. Redeem them again from thier enemy and burst the bonds apart. Send forth Your word again and heal her. Still this new storm to a whisper and guide her to the haven at the end of a full term pregnancy, in Jesus' name.

Friday...

Today has been unbelievably hard. There has been a lot more fluid leak than normal. Well, MY normal, anyway.

No pain and no cramps and no other changes other than the influx in fluid leaking so THANK YOU JESUS for uneventful!

My heart is weary. "How, God, can I be drinking so much water and see such a backward result in levels?", is my hearts rhythmic wonder. "And now I am losing more!?"

But my God says, "fear not, it's not FOR you to know... But to trust".

Thank you Jesus! Your promises are true and Holy!

"There is no security in what God is doing. There is only security in WHO God is."

- Graham Cooke
(Nature of God)

Let's cheer her on to keep drinking and hold her arms up that the fluid's building and no infection.

Thursday Austin Update

Had a visit today in Austin again. Here's the report...

I only have 1cm fluid (needs to be 2 cm or more for lungs to form well)! BUT... Ready for this.... Cervix is still very long and NO DIALATION. Cervix HAS NOT CHANGED AT ALL!!!!!! HEY GOD!!!!

....Friends please joining us in praying for Bri and Johnny right now is there any appointment in Austin…lets get on our faces and hold them up!

Lord God, you are good! We thank you for a baby that is alive, we thank you for a heartbeat. We pray God for amniotic fluid to be built up for there to be plenty for this baby. We pray that before their eyes as they check for the levels they would see it rise. We thank you God that you are a God of miracles and we know God it thanks always precedes the miracle. So we thank you God that you were good, we thank you for a heartbeat, we thank you God that you carry our friends. Lord lead them in peace. In Jesus name, amen

Thursday Update and Don't miss the Prayer in Previous Post

I typed up a longer post and in the midst of telling Tristan to come out of our room switched pages on my phone and now it's all gone. So in short we need prayer for...

Trip to Austin this morning at 10 to see the maternal fetal specialist today and see the next course of action and get a good look at what's going on. OH Lord Jesus be with is now!

Boys. That they would have peace and be strong in the midst of all the back and forth and confusion.

Financial breakthrough...
J taking off means a day of no pay. He works for a company that does not have benefits for their drivers. So far we have been paying everything out of pocket and taking full-day pay cuts bc J has been with me for a surgery and for this crucial appt. We applied for Medicaid but they denied us bc they said we made too much money... HA... So we inquired and apparently someone on our end or theirs entered in wrong info. So we had to reapply and they are dragging their feet. We know we qualify, we just have to get approved.

Wisdom... For the MFS to be completely knowledgable in her findings and not only be thorough but be patient and delicate to our journey. We don't know if she's a believer and we would like her to see this miracle through different eyes. We are praying for her and praying that if she's not a believer that she would be open to receiving Gods love. We pray that if she is that she would grow closer to him in a way that penetrates her heart!

Thank you all for walking this journey with us and holding us up in prayer! We COULD NOT do this without you!!!

Please, if you have any words or messages for us, do not hesitate in sharing. Even if through private message! We are standing on the words and affirmation of God and through you all, HE IS MOVING!!!!

When you pray, ask Him to speak to you. Ask Him what's on His heart for YOU today. He longs to give you sweet words and delights in giving good gifts.

Then this...The devil is hard at work this morning already, warriors!!! Two are staying home with pink eye!!!

Not going to work, enemy!

Thank you Nana Wachsmann for standing in the gap today so we can STILL get to the appt!!!!

he's running scared and throwing fiery darts as he runs away! Keep it up faithful and mighty warriors!!!

Holding their hands up as Joshua takes Land

A Prayer for Today: Join us in praying for Bri and Johnny and covering then in prayer. Joshua fought the battle while Moses prayed and Aaron and Hur held up his hands and when Moses hands were up (the intercession of the saints) Joshua won and when they were down the enemy trumped. Let's hold the Wachsmanns hands up and intercede as Joshua grows and let's win this war :).

The Amalekites Defeated
8 The Amalekites came and attacked the Israelites at Rephidim. 9 Moses said to Joshua, “Choose some of our men and go out to fight the Amalekites. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hands.”

10 So Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the hill. 11 As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. 12 When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset. 13 So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword.

14 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it, because I will completely blot out the name of Amalek from under heaven.”

15 Moses built an altar and called it The Lord is my Banner. 16 He said, “Because hands were lifted up against[c] the throne of the Lord,[d] the Lord will be at war against the Amalekites from generation to generation.”

LORD JESUS WE PRAY THAT YOU WOULD GIVE VICTORY. THAT JOSHUA WOULD ARRIVE AT FULL TERM FULLY ALIVE AND WELL TO LIVE A LONG LIFE TESTIFYING TO YOUR GLORY AND GREATNESS. LORD CALM THE BATTLES THAT RAGE, SEND YOUR PEACE AND LEAD BRI AND JOHNNY ON A PATH OF PEACE. MAY THEY FOLLOW PEACE. MAY TODAY BE A DAY OF CONFIRMATION OF YOUR GOODNESS IN THE LAND OF THE LIVING. MAY THERE BE NO INFECTION ENTER BRI'S BODY MAY THERE ONLY BE AN INCREASE IN FLUIDS AND A GOOD REPORT OF YOUR HAND, YOUR RIGHTEOUS RIGHT HAND PERFORMING MIRACLES. YOU ALONE ARE GOOD LORD AND WE PRAISE YOU FOR THIS TESTIMONY OF YOUR GREATNESS AND GLORY. IN JESUS NAME, AMEN

Faith of Child and a Song to Stir our Prayers

Yesterday Bear (first grade) came home and said "I picked a bracelet that says faith from the treasure chest at school bc it has God's word on it"

I said that I really liked it and loved his heart. I then asked him what is something he is having faith about. He said "that baby Joshua would get here when he's supposed to and not before!"

Oh my handsome love!

Lots of info to share. Still doing great in my sideways, waterlogged world. Just some updates with plans.
Had a check up this morning and baby is doing good. Strong heart beat. Also got the first round of my weekly progesterone shots.

Yesterday I had a panic attack when the dr. from Austin called. She's the dr that did the cerclage.
I originally had an appt scheduled for yesterday with her in Austin but since I got put on bed rest I was figuring my dr had touched base with her to let her know everything. Thaaaat was not the case. The Austin office closes early on Fridays AND she was out of the office all last week SOOO nobody could contact her.
Anyhow I let her know what had happened and she went into overdrive wanting me to come up there ASAP and to have a US done to check cervix/cerclage and to see if the cerclage needs to come out to prevent infection etc...and I panicked!
WAITAMINUTE!!!!
A) I am on bed rest... Austin is a LONG drive!
B ) NOBODY is to be messing around with the netherland region as a precaution to prevent bacteria and infection.
C ) we have to leave the cerclage in so he doesn't FALL OUT!!!!
So I told her I had to talk to and pray with my husband and she gave me her cell no and said to call her as soon as I was able.
I talked to J when he got home (thankfully our precious neighbor took all the boys to the park so we had a little quiet time to process it all!!)
After some good time in prayer, quite a few tears from me and some good ol' Graham Cooke telling me that God calls us to do the impossible... We feel like God is going to show up (He already has) and carry us through even IF they feel better about the cerclage being out!
So I went to see my OB here today and she said she's great with me going to see dr in Austin and it would be good to be checked out by her seeing she is a high risk specialist.
So now I am waiting to hear back from her about being seen this week or next.

From Bri....

Made it through the weekend - uneventful!!! What a praise report!
Not dwelling in the past or speaking it into existence but just for reference sake to see this mercy... My last three pregnancies when my water broke I delivered within 48 hours.
We are now on day 6 with no other issues besides the still sporadic SMALL fluid leaks.
Praying for NO INFECTION to enter. As well as no other issues! We WILL be carried through and past these 8 weeks!!!!
Please continue to pray that no infection would occur as well as my amniotic sac to seal and fill back up adequately for Joshua to grow correctly!
Thank you!!!

Prayers Needed

Here's the short version - PRAY for amniotic fluid to be in Bri's womb, to safely surround the baby.

Long version.....

Bri called the doctor this morning with concern because she's felt like she was leaking (for lack of a better term) fluid and from what she was able to tell it seemed it could be amniotic fluid. They had her go to labor and delivery to be checked by her doctor. It was amniotic fluid and so they checked on baby. His fluid level is low which is a concern. Basically with out the fluid there are the obvious problems like the cushion protecting him but also the concern in lung development for him.  The doctor has been wonderful and is not recommending cutting the cerclage and letting things run their course but is ready to fight for this baby to have a long life.  Bri's cervix is closed and thick which is a praise! Bri will stay over night tonight for monitoring then be put on strict bed rest to make it to our first goal of 24 weeks. They are putting Bri and Johnny in touch with a maternal fetal specialist at Scott and White to start a relationship. Bri's current doctor will be her care giver until 24 weeks then they will take over. This is most definitely a BUT GOD story. He's made many promises and even given dreams for this baby's life. Please join us in praying!.....

Lord Jesus we thank you for your Word. That You are with the Wachsmanns, thank you for life. May you inhibit the praises of your people. Lord we pray you would fill Bri's womb with amniotic fluid, support baby's lung development.  Lord we ask for goal one of 24 weeks and beyond because You are able. You who are in her is able and we pray for your love, support and healing.  Let us see a miracle come morning. Lord float her way past these 8 weeks.  Father protect their family and let them feel Your presence with them.  May Johnny, Bri and the boys have your peace that surpasses understanding.  In Jesus name, Amen

Practicals - they are asking for guests to be limited because she is susceptible to infection.  However we are working on putting together ways to help, I will post more on that tomorrow.

Plodding Along

Hi all, I am helping fill in a bit for Bri. I am not near the witty writer but I do have pictures :). Notice a hand in this first one?  A hand holding the baby up in the womb? wrapped around his little foot and bottom? Amazing!

Bri was put on complete bed rest until her post - op appointment on Monday. Apparently the doctors definition of "light duty" and hers (nor mine) are not the same so redefined it's bed rest. We are faithfully hoping Monday will bring release back to light duty but the road is long for a busy little bee named Bri when told to be still :). Her heart is pressing in but she needs prayers wrapped around them right now. Please join me in praying.....

....for good fluids to carry baby
....for PEACE in her heart and Johnnys as they watch the miracle of each week pass by knowing God has and will bring this to full term. Next week is 17 weeks which marks a celebration of making it another step.
....for them to be able to take every thought captive that satan sends in to steal their joy and cause fear and worry. That they can set their hearts on thanks and praise as God inhabits the praises on his people.

Please feel free to comment with a place of thanks to help them build a bridge of thanks to carry them in deeper trust.

Here are some more pics of sweet baby boy from the 14 week appointment.

Surgery and the days after...

Thank you all for your many many prayers. Thank you for all of your love and support. I say that all the time and know that it's from the heart. You all mean so much to us and because we are in the throws of small children and full time work we don't get to see everyone as we would LOVE, but we carry y'all in our hearts and prayers continuously.

Okay so surgery went great. I was admitted at 9 and surgery started at 9:30. I was in recovery at 10. Dr. came in and checked on baby and he was happy to have all the company. He was moving around and looked good. Had a great heart rate and plenty of fluid to play in.

I had to have a spinal so I was awake for the entirety of the surgery... I would have preferred to have gone to sleep. Being awake for something so crazy extreme to me is NOT my cup o tea even though I couldn't "feel" anything but pressure... I was still in panic mode that they were going to hit a nerve and I was going to feel EVERYTHING!

But they didn't - THANKFULLY! I supposed they probably know what they are doing which is why I was referred to them ;).

So in recovery I could immediately move my feet and legs... slowly and barely but I could do it. SO I figured it would not take long to be able to leave. Their only goal was to monitor me until I could feel my legs and go to the restroom.

But though I could walk and feel my legs... my, um... bladder would NOT WAKE UP! So I had to end up staying until about 6:30 PM!  OH.MY.GRACIOUS! Torture!

So now we are home and I am taking it as easy as life allows. Pain is pretty much gone and there have only been a few signs of 'healing' taking place. AMEN! I am not allowed to do as much as I want or would like just b.c I have been put on light duty. Thankfully I am not on full bed rest so I will take light duty and take advantage of moving around and picking up little things here and there.

Again, we thank you and covet your prayers! I KNOW it's by the the grace of God that we are doing as well as we are and seeing so many wonderful blessings!

Home

Hello All!

I just want to give you a quick update and then I am headed to bed.

First of all... THANKYOU for all the well wishes and prayers offered up on our behalf today. They were truly felt and we were completely covered!

I am great, baby is great.... Cerclage is in place and I am showing great signs of recovery. Very minimal to NO pain. AMEN!

I will respond to texts/calls/messages tomorrow when I can.

Again, we love you all and could NOT do this without you!

      Blessings!!!

Grab some FAITH! Where the new chapter begins.

I will start with 5 years ago a promise I was given in my spirit that we would conceive two children and carry to term. My history thus far has not been the case. If you do not know the full story of our precious 'born to us' babies you can read about that in the "Story of Us" on the side bar.

That, of course, took me by surprise. I had simply become comfortable and rather enjoyed fostering/adopting. I loved the thrill of "THE CALL" and then getting to meet the new little life that we were GOING to fall in love with and share some part of our life with. Whether that be for eternity or for a small visit... we would indeed SHARE LIFE.

However, God had another chapter to this story that He was revealing to me. I prayed about it and, per my normal routine, I prayed that if this were God that HE would speak it to Johnny and Johnny would come to me and talk to me about it. A couple of days later when we were able to grab some alone time together, Johnny came to me and said "I would like to talk about where your heart is with our family and what that looks like."

In the past there had been lots of roller coaster emotions and lots of "what if" or "If I had only". There was a lot of hurt that hadn't healed all the way and to talk about it only pulled open that wound so, naturally, he was leery. He was protecting my heart.

My heart lept with JOY, for I KNEW that God was moving and that HE was about to bring a restoration like none other and that we... WE were going to SEE HIS GLORY! I didn't know what that looked like in a time frame or even circumstantial but I did KNOW that HE had a plan and we were part of this grand and beautiful plan.

I got together with Johnny that evening and we talked and prayed and I confided in him that I had the same feeling a few days prior, that it was time to start "thinking about" our family. Not that we didn't HAVE a family. Our boys are our heart and soul... but we knew that wasn't ALL He had for us. There was something deeper still that He was longing for us to behold. First a little boy would join our family through birth. His name will be Joshua, for he will be coming into the promised land. The second, a little girl as our gift and reward for the faith we have stood on.

As we prayed, we still didn't hear or 'feel' a specific time frame... we just knew that He would be moving in our midst to prepare the way for our little ones. We knew that when the time was right He would bring it back around and would give us clear direction and guidance.

In May of this year our church held a women's night. There was lots of worship and speakers from our church. It was an all-out anointed night. As I was sitting in my seat letting the worship music wash over me I heard, as though the auditorium were filled with this voice, "This time next year, you will be expecting.

Now remember the last time I had even heard anything about children was 5 years ago before Ben even came into this world! And now here He is telling me "It's TIME"!

You can guess what happened next. Yep, I told God, "If this is really your will then you will tell Johnny and he will come to me with his confirmation."

That night when I got home J came to me as I was editing and said, "I really need to talk to you. I feel like it's time to start praying about timing for our children."

    OOOOOKAY THEN! THANK YOU JESUS!!!

We felt the timing was October and that he would be born in July! July 9th just so happens to be Olivia's birthday!

So in Nov we confirmed that we were indeed expecting.

We, again, still feel like this is our Joshua so HE will be born in July just as we had felt.

Now comes the faith part...Well, MORE of it, shall I say.

My history is not one to be secure with for delivering babies safely and on time. However, GOD is greater! And we KNOW HE gave us this promise.

I finally got to see the dr after I hit my 14th week of pregnancy. Check up was great and baby was moving and bumping around. Strong little heartbeat and measured right on target. New due date is July 11th! She said my cervix looks great and strong at this point but of course with my history she wanted to make sure that we took every precaution possible to keep little Mister in place.

GUYS*** This starts to get a little 'graphic' in detail. Not bad ... just detailed.

So she started talking about a trans abdominal cerclage (where they stitch your cervix closed right at the base of your uterus.... to keep baby higher in the uterus and not put pressure on my cervix and just come on out when they get too heavy.

However, this is a very risky procedure ... even more when you are further along in pregnancy. So the specialist in Austin was very against doing the trans abdominal. She wanted to do the lower cerclage called a McDonald (don't ask) lol. But we and our dr had bad thoughts about that one because I delivered Ymali Jane through a McDonald cerclage so basically I failed it and if you fail one they do the other. BUT seeing I couldn't do the other due to too many risks... my dr feels better about SOMETHING rather than NOTHING. So a McDonald we are going to get this morning! We really don't feel like anything is necessary b.c we feel total peace about him coming full term with no complications but for the sanity of our Dr... we feel we can do this and God will still shine through it above all the medical aspects.

I will fill in more details and pictures later... but we have to head to Austin this morning and get this going.

LOVE YOU ALL!! Thank you for your continued support and prayers!!!

Cobwebs

*blowing off the cobwebs*

Let's open up the shades and bring some life back into this place! :)

I am not sure how many of you are still around but I have so much fun in store for you!

I really don't know where to begin. Where I left off I suppose is a pretty good place to start to fill you in.

Well to update you quickly... we have adopted all of the boys now. They have been a forever part of our family now for three years! We have had no more placements and Little Miss went back home to her family. So we still have three boys :).

Most of you started following me on FB so I never felt like any of you were out of the loop really unless you didn't find and friend me on FB, which is totally fine... I just figured whoever wanted to stay updated would be able to that way.

If you are still following along... stick around, I am about to blurb a HUGE update and many praise reports.

        -Bri
