date delay

We were informed today that Bear's court date has been pushed back from Sept 9 to Oct 21 for his final termination hearing. We are going to mediation on the 9th of Oct and then we will go from there. It is truly disheartening when you thought only if we can make it to Sept 9th and then you have less than a week left and they move the date. It truly makes you know how little we are in this and how much power we do not have over a child that is not our own. Nice try Satan... God is still bigger than you. This will not destroy us. For He has His eyes on HIS sparrows. He delights in us and has great plans for us. HE will prosper us and not harm us...

Though this journey is long and tiring... I will choose to have joy in my heart.

Please pray for God's strength to prevail in this time. It is hard to be reminded daily that he is not our own but the court systems property to toy with as they please. It makes me sick. I am just glad that he is in our home for now while they are counting their ducks to put them in a row. We pray for God's favor that He will allow him to remain in our family forever.

New family member

Sooooo we've expanded yet again... we have another dog. Yep ANOTHER dog. I think we are good with one baby and plenty of dogs. They are much easier. I love my little boy so I won't trade him for another dog... PROMISE!!! But they are easier. after about 2 months of life they can already sit and stay and lie down and go to the bathroom outside... wonderful!!!!
So this new addition kind of found me (as they always do.) I was driving to pick up my niece and there she was hobbling in the ditch... just a puppy all alone and starving. Sooooo the next thing you know she jumped in my car as I was driving by and held me hostage... I am not even kidding *wink, wink* I had to tell Johnny something Ü. So I had to bring her home to meet the crew.... Honestly we are going to keep her until an owner claims her or until we decide it has been long enough. If she fits in with the fam we may just adopt her... we love that around here... Ü... no strays in our family. They all have a home here. We will just have to see what happens next. She is way too cute and the kids love her. She is about 2 months old if even that. She is going to be a good size dog and I would think a good one. Duke is still curious about her and wondering why the only boy we brought home wears diapers. He is feeling outnumbered by the girl/boy ratio in the canine dept. now. He loves his little sisters though... they all boss him around.
