my boys

.We are all adjusting well these days. It is trying some days more than others but overall we are still striving to better ourselves as we exist in this family. These past weeks have been ones of complete busyness to say the least. First Christmas came... Wait; First Moe came, then Christmas came as well as J's army enlisted brother from WA, then his fiance` came with her little girl of 2 years. With the first initial meeting came a lot of outings and dinners, lunches, dress shopping, pedicuring, ice cream eating, and game playing oh and pony riding. Did I mention that the boys are "sick" with a runny nose and cough, so needless to say I was worried about having them out in the weather. But time stands still for no one!

We got in some good time with family over this holiday and I am ready for another year before the next one. EXCEPT, it doesn't stop there. We are traveling to WA for the infamous wedding in like 3 weeks. We of course have to continue on with getting permission to take the boys out of state for this said trip so that is a plus! HA! Has anyone ever taken a 15 month old AND a 10 month old on a plane trip for approximately 3 hours before? Could you give me some pointers? Do they have dramamine for infants? I am nervous but I know it will be fun and adventurous to boot. Plenty of fun picture opportunities anyway.

We had our friends come stay with us this weekend and so we hosted a game night for 6 of our fun loving friends. I made Baked chicken parmesan with spaghetti and brought to join was a delicious salad, some fabulous french bread and quenching drinks. I also picked up a mix for a cookie brownie. MMMMM if you want to know. Thanks Tia for all your hard work making that happen *smile* it was well worth your labor! hahaha.

In having our friends here this weekend we had to move Moe to Bear's bedroom. We wanted them to enjoy their stay in our guest room without the workings of our little Moe, plus they have their own little set of 16 month old pipes that joined them in the guest room. Come to find out Moe LOVES being a roommate. So does Bear. They talk to eachother at the corners of their cribs and can sleep through one another's fits of crying when they are needing something. I love them. It is so funny to hear them talking and carrying on when they are "falling asleep" and when I peek in on them they are just lazily lying in bed staring into abyss jabbering in monotone mumbles for lack of anything interesting to say until finally you walk in and they are sprawled out all over their cribs passed out from so much excitement. I need to talk to the agency and see if it is appropriate for them to remain in the same room. I see some benefits to helping Moe with his insecurity and separation anxiety; but I also fear that if some day Moe does end up leaving us again that it would hurt them both for no longer having a roommate to talk to. I love that they are so good with one another. They, in my heart, are the best brothers ever.

From the first day Moe came 9 months ago Bear has been his best friend. Moe would cry A LOT and Bear would "crawl" over to him and hold his hand to comfort him. It never failed. Even to this day they are comforting to one another. We had to pile into the jeep for a couple days while our car was being repaired and their car seats consumed the entire back seat and from time to time I could look back there and they were holding hands just "talking" away. They are quite the duo in singing from the back seat as well. There is not a quiet car ride with those two. It is comical I will give you that.

We were eating out last night with J's family and Moe and Bear were sitting at the end of the table with us. They were in their high chairs and playing pat-a-cake for the most time. The other half of the time they were putting grown men to shame with their mad eating skills. Oh and for those of you wondering how Moe is doing with food. He is a hauss when it comes to food. The boy loves real food and cannot get enough of it. Forget the baby food and anything that has to do with that mushy stuff. Give him the good stuff! He puts Bear to shame. He weighs 21 lbs right now and Bear is 26 so I give it another month or so before he catches up to him. Big boys!

I am retiring this post for now to give you all time to catch up and then I will be coming back around with another post and lots of pictures about all this getty-up....

Good night to all!

When Lucas and Ashlee were babies (well, and even now, but I can understand what they are saying now) they would have the funniest conversations.

One of them would say something and the other would giggle. It was the cutest thing.

Glad your boys get that bonding time, it's so sweet.

it's so sweet to hear how moe and bear get along with each other! It made me smile to read about them jabbering away at each other in their cribs! TOO CUTE!!!
