Shelter in the Storm

I know you thought it was going to be a spiritual post buuuuut... it's really not!

Where once there was beauty and land there now sits a HUGE EYE SORE CEMENT BOX!

But we will be safe if WHEN a tornado hits. You see we run parallel to a very popular Interstate that tornadoes tend to frequent. We also live in a cardboard box mobile home atop a metal, once movable trailer... and all tornado warnings shout from the television... ABANDON CARDBOARD BOXES!!! MOBILE HOMES!!!

You see the lady who sold us the land with the house on it said that it is “better” than a typical mobile home because it has been “fixed” to the ground. But yeah; I have seen some trees that were pretty fixed to the ground too, BEFORE THEY WERE UPROOTED AND CARRIED OFF SEVERAL HUNDRED YARDS!

It doesn't make me feel any better either that when I went outside last night to stand on our little deck that I saw a opossum run and hide under the same spot that we had been planning on using as a “shelter” if WHEN the time came!

So rest assured our whole neighborhood little family will be safe and sheltered from the storm! You know, not that you were worried or anything!
