I REALLY hope there are no guy readers here and if there are... WELCOME in all respect! hahaha
No, it is not that bad of a post that men can't read it. Especially if you are married, you may want to have a heads up.
I have been experiencing some pain lately and it is not fun. What am I saying of course it isn't fun to be in pain. ESPECIALLY THIS PAIN! I know when I am ovulating due to the fact that I cannot sit down hardly it hurts so badly. The rest of the time there is a nagging pain and it is just frustrating. I don't like to visit dr's and I don't like to stop what I am doing to tend to annoying pain. But enough is enough (and it is interfering with our, ahem.... personal life... sooooo on that note.) I was encouraged (by our counselor) to visit my girlie dr. I had mixed feelings about this. I really like her and all but the last time I saw her was the checkup visit after our last daughter was born. Not fond or happy memories going to that office!
Luckily it was not that bad. I put on my big girl panties and faced it like a champ! I went in with a great attitude of I am going to get some good pain killers for this obnoxious crampy pain! wooohooo! WRONG ANSWER JIM BOB! Nope, now I am going in for an ultra sound on Thursday. She told me my uterus is enlarged (that wasn't very nice) and she wanted to get a better look because of my symptoms of pain. She said it is possibly Fibroids! Hmmmm I have no idea what that is but she didn't have a smile on her face so I am guessing it is not something or someone that I am going to invite to dinner on occaision, by the look on her face it won't even be on rare occasion. I guess I will know on Thursday (0r whenever she calls me to let me know) what is going on in there! It is probably where all my children have carved their initials on my uterine wall... WITH MY RIB BONE! hahaha!
If any of you know what fibroids are please feel free to enlighten me. Is it serious and I should put on my "I am a brainiac" cap so I can pay attention to what she tells me. Or will they just take them out with surgery or something?

I hope everything turns out alright!
I had a fibroid in my uterine wall which got worse when I was pregnant. Apparently it fed off the extra blood being sent to our babies, and got enlarged. It is not serious enough to remove (not cancerous) but it does need to be looked at once in awhile.
I also want to mention that I had nagging pain from ovulation and a doctor said my fallopian tube was stretched over my ovary, so he massaged it loose and the pain went away! Just a thought...
hey bri, i am so sorry you are having to go through that pain, not fun! i wish i had something i could tell you on fibroids, but i have no clue! i will be praying for you, let me know if there is anything i can do!
I am pretty sure these are the kinds of tumors my Mom had and she has had no problems since treatment. On an interesting note they also were one of the causes of her not being able to lose weight.
sorry about that-hope you get some answers soon!
