....What is my question?
We are traveling far away for a wedding in a couple days. We will be on a plane for 4 hours. It is going to be night time during travel so I am guessing our boys may sleep. If anyone has traveled with young babies on an airplane before, please for the love of all things Holy, help me in knowing what to pack for a 4 hour plane ride (just in case they don't sleep).
My list so far...
Benadryl
Benadryl
Benadryl
Ibuprofen
Ibuprofen
ear plugs
ear plugs
okay, now if they don't sleep.
Blankies/blankets
neck pillows
lap top... dvd (if worse comes to worse, but this usually does not work for our boys.)
magnadoodle
fun hand games
snacks (cheerios, kix ... somewhat clean)
sippies (formula and pedialyte... so they will want to drink it to keep their ears from popping as badly)
If there is anything else that is detrimental that you see I have forgotten please by all means enlighten me. Oh and I am going to ask you all to pray for us during this travel! Thanks so much friends!

Hope you have fun! We have flown with babies several times, and I am always amazed with how the plane seems to knock them out for the most part.
Don't forget, you can only take small amounts of liquids now... make sure they won't throw out half of you artillery before boarding the plane!
aniyah was an incredible traveler until this last time (she was 12 months). it was TERRIBLE!!! don't want to scare you. but it's the truth. so, things that may help:
try benadryl BEFORE you travel. it can cause excitability in some children. definitely don't want that!
when she was younger (we forgot them this time) we gave her some teething tablets (they are all natural) and tylenol. the teething tablets help calm then and the tylenol just in case they get a headache from the pressure/and it can help their hurting ears.
bring LOTS of snacks - different ones that they don't normally.
go to the dollar store and buy a bunch of cheap toys/books that they have never seen.
have juice/water/pacifiers ready for them to suck on for their ears.
try and get a bulk head (you need to get there super early for this - just got up to the desk and ask if there are any available).
pack all of your "baby stuff" ie food, medicine, sippy cups in a gallon zip lock. the amounts don't matter. they will run a swab on the cups though.
hope this helps. can't wait to hear how it goes!
Something, ANYTHING for them to suck on, aside from just sippy.
And, when we flew 1.5 yrs ago w/ the twins and Elizabeth, they allowed us to take their sippy cups through security, even though they were full already. They asked what was in them and I said, "juice..so their ears won't pop" and they just waved us through.
Suckers are good for the ears, since they're too little for gum.
Good luck!
I've flown solo with Josie since she was 8 months old. We try to fly at night, but she usually only sleeps for about an hour. There is just so much going on and a lot of excitement.
My secret... Snacks snacks and more snacks. I keep her loaded up! The laptop is a good idea but impractical. With two small babies and those small seats, you'll have a really hard time getting it set up.
I let Josie tear apart the inflight magazine (bad I know!) and just talk to her about whatever.
Don't overpack yourself. There just isn't room for much playing. Oh and I try to make Josie think she's still wrapped up in her carrier so that she doesn't try to wiggle as much.
If worse comes to worse, remember it will be over in 4 hours!
And at our airport, we had to toss any liquids, including already mixed formula. So you'll probably have to get juice or bottled water on the other side of the gate.
