New Addition to the family...

Don't get overly excited now, new additions seem to only come on 4 legs around these parts! But she's a cutie. This time it was J's fault. He found her at work in the parking lot.

We have posted flyers and all that jazz but no luck yet. I love cats but I think I have become allergic to them as I have gotten older. I also don't love the messes you have to clean up after a kitten, AND the chance that I could find Bear wandering around with a "tootsie roll" in his mouth that we didn't buy. MMMMMM yeah... that!

I would love to keep her but there is so much involved. I am just now weeding out our dogs. Missy has gone to live permanently next door with my Aunt and Elli is going to be adopted by some dear friends of ours after Dec 9th. We are knocking down to just Duke and now this kitten. Funny thing is, we are getting rid of all the dogs that "agree" with cats. So far Duke has tried to "eat" the kitty twice and we have had her for a whopping 3 days now. He is not vicious around her he is just "WAITING" for her to get down or fall from our arms. She smacked his nose the other day while she was in my lap and he snapped at her. Not in a very vicious way though, kind of like "you do that again woman and you are going to be flossing my teeth from the inside!" sort of snap. It is real hard to tell though. I am not taking chances. J is still really convinced that this dog is going to LOVE this kitten (hmmmm I would say he is going to love it a little more served with gravy). I guess only time will tell, unless of course it finds an owner from the Wachsmann Orphanage too???????? Anyone? Anyone? Sold to the girl in the pink sweater!

Sorry, not wearing a pink sweater! No kittens in this house!

Funny, you're a sucker for animals like me. Our Duke just headed to Arizona (by car), so we are back down to one dog and 3 outdoor cats (they adopted us).

It is so hard to keep a clean house when you have animal hair on top of the regular dirt and clutter of life. I think we will be a one dog family for many years to come. Of course, I would love to save them all, which makes it hard.

BTW, I haven't emailed you about that photo question b/c I honestly couldn't tell you how I did it. I am good at puttering with Photoshop, but my husband is the one who knows all the software since he is the head of the creative department at the company he is employed.

The graphic design degree from S.C.A.D. that hangs on my wall is simply a reminder that my dad paid a large sum of money for me to find a super husband and become a full time mom. Well worth it though!
