though the journey is long and tiring i will choose to have joy in my heart... Join us on this journey through infant loss on into foster/adoption.
So here it is ladies and... well I am sure more ladies (what men really sit and read these, well the women's ones anyway. Ü). Our master bedroom got a makeover this weekend. Fri, and Sat. We knew we wanted to get rid of the UGLY wallpaper in our bedroom but we could never (when I say we I really mean I b/c Johnny has nothing to do in the decision making department... it is all me and then he is the brawn...my he-man!!! Ü hehehe!) So I could never decide on what I wanted it to look like. I had been kicking around the idea of black and white with aqua accents and so I found a duvet cover that I fell in love with that was black and white so I went with that and we had previously bought aqua sheets. That then led to painting the room black(bottom) white (top). So beautiful and romantical! Yes I am trying to light a blown out pilot light okay!!! On my pilot not his of course. Ü So now I am in the process of decorating. I am putting black and white pictures in black frames and hanging them about 4 inches from the top of the chair railing. I painted my night stand black and put a brushed silver handle on it but now I am concerned that it is going to be overwhelmed with the black walls. I really wanted to paint all my furniture black w/ brushed silver hardware but now I am afraid that it will be too much. I really don't like white furniture in a bedroom but I think I am kind of running out of options. AND I am not brave enough (Mollie Ü) to do teal/aqua furniture. I am going to recover the chair and ottoman in black and white toille or some fun fabric I may find. So many options but I am very indecisive.... If there are any suggestions Ü please advise. I really don't have many options but I would like to hear your oppinions anyway. And ignore the mess all over the room and other non matching stuff it is all from the makeover extravaganza... and the furniture is again still getting a decision made on which color.
Ooh, I love it! Very cool. Noah and I would love to re-do our bedroom... but it will be a major project. We have a ridiculously large room which needs to have popcorn ceilings made smooth, crown molding added, new carpets, new paint, new or extremely modified furniture, etc. It is a daunting project, but your photos are inspiring!
I love it, I love it, I love it!!! And I think the black nightstand looks FABULOUS!! It totally doesn't look like too much, especially with the black and white boxes on there! We still have to talk about something a little daring though...like maybe aqua in your chair!!! Smile. Wanna hang out today?
Beth... it all starts with a coat (or two) of paint. It is all downhill from there. I promise... All of everything we have is mismatched and garage sale (Goodwill or side of the road) treasures. We just now bought a bed of our very own and I got the duvet for the comforter we just bought and that is all we are doing... I am painting the rest. (or recovering it myself Ü)... Take the plunge.. you will love it! Ü
I LUV IT SIS!!!!!OK, SO WHERE DID I GO WRONG???? Y DIDNT I GET THE CREATIVE GENE? I CAN BE CREATIVE AT TIMES, BUT OH MY!!!!I COULD HAVE NEVER DARED 2 PAINT A ROOM HALF BLACK....
