Party central...

I am so terrible at planning parties. I love making food and planning that part but the guest list overwhelms me and drives me nuts trying to figure out what to do. I am not much of a games person. I like them okay but I hate, LOATHE being the center of attention so I really detest planning and heading up games and such.

I am under the gun right now... Moe's B.day is Wed. His party will be on the 14th ( I think) I haven't even sent out invites or anything yet. I want to do it at a park but don't know if you have to pay or reserve anything... and am I too late? Uggghhhh overwhelming!!! I would also like to do it at the zoo that way we could be there and much stuff for them to all do. But is that a possibility? I have to call around tomorrow and find this stuff out... then send out evites :). I really don't like those either (it just seems a bit impersonal) buuuuut when you have to wait for the last minute then evites it is!

Then I am hosting a Sip-N-See for my sister and her new baby girl Devyn on March 21st. I think that one is a little easier seeing that it is for my sister and the baby will be the main attention getter! I am out of the woods there! whew! It is all on her... I am just providing the place and fun foods.

Menu so far is:

sausage quiche
spinach pinwheels
veggie tray/ dip
fruit tray/ dip
cake/ desserts
mini blueberry muffins
punch; tea; water

I think it will just be a kind of hang out time for everyone to get to meet Devyn and mingle.

Is that just nuts??? Any advice is WAY WELCOME!!! AGAIN I AM SO NOT A PLANNER!!! If someone wants to plan away feel free and tell us where to go.. hahaha I will bring the food!

No really though; please help!!!

And it begins..... here is one of many!

My boy IS ALL BOY!!!

He was being real sneaky and testing his boundaries and grabbed the old IRON iron from in front of a door. The really old irons that you had to put on the coals; we use them as door stops in different locations. Apparently he fell with it and it hit hard enough to indent his forehead and leave a huge gash. I could see white once I dabbed blood away for the 50th time. It was spurting out, okay it was dripping profusely! He screamed at the initial injury and then when I would try and apply pressure.

I was so scared I thought I was going to have to take him to the ER; it was just Bear, Moe and me. I just watched to make sure it started swelling outward and then no black eyes or ears. I didn't let him go to bed for his down time. He stayed in a P-n-P in the living room so I could monitor him. I called a lady over from next door whom is a CNA. And she agreed with me that it didn't look as though it needed a stitch at the ER. Talk about your stomach jumping into your throat!

He seems to be doing great now. I put a butterfly suture on it and covered it with neosporin and a bandaid. He doesn't even know it's there anymore.

I am sure this is only the first of MANY injuries that are to take place in this daring little man's life!
