$530 later...

SO the automotive repair place called this morning about our car. I was in the shower so J took the call. He came in to tell me that they found ANOTHER problem that needed to be fixed in order for their other repairs to maintain quality performance. So J agreed to it. I asked how much more we would be paying (on top of the $340) he sweetly replies with "it will be a total of $530". I wanted to vomit (good thing I was in the shower). I just put my hands over my face and started bawling. I hate money! We seem to never have any and the minute we do and it looks like we are going to finally go somewhere in the direction of paying extra on getting out of debt something else shows it's ugly face and drags us back down. Later I was talking to J (after I calmed down some) and told him to watch out... we had $200 left in the bank something else was liable to break or need a repair. He loves my sarcasm... yes, that too is sarcasm!

Joke's on me. Later I found the Auto ins bill that had not been paid for the month at a whopping $47.70 (I know, I am grateful it is cheap... for two cars even) and of course I find the Phone bill that is due TOMORROW (I made the mistake of letting J handle the bills for a month... we had some late payments to say the least) the phone bill comes to $112 (for all 3 phone lines). WELL IMAGINE THAT! Sorry for the sarcasm. I am tired of pressing in just to SURVIVE another week to struggle through to the next one. It stinks really. We have been trying to figure out what to cut out. Our only "luxuries" really are our cell phones (dropping one would only decrease our bill by $10. And our internet which is really high if you ask me but sometimes I am expecting cheap things when there is no way.

Oh well... God always provides. It truly does not even make sense on paper but it always works out! We have a fixed car to say the least. It does, however, still smell like burning plastic! hahaha *smile*

tomorrow will be a better day. right??? Of course it will. I choose my attitude... God just corrects it! LOVE HIM!

My car... On fire?

We took our car in this morning for the missing out problems and the "burning" smell. I was later called with a partial diagnosis. It was not reading on the diagnostics machine. Imagine that... it never even had a "check engine" light come on. Only my car is going to give so much trouble! hahaha... So they are doing some guess work for $346.

It is basically all related to a tune up anyway so that is worth it... right???. After all was discussed about the "initial" problem I went on to ask about the "burning smell" and she told me that it was a plastic bag that had gotten stuck to my muffler. hahahaha imagine that! I always try to avoid running over those things just for that reason. I don't know how I missed that one (or didn't miss that one rather). So good thing we are not going to catch fire going down the road and hopefully after they fix all the "potential" problems we will have a "new"car for $346. Thank you Jesus that J was able to get in some severe overtime for the Christmas holidays so we had a little extra money finally... guess now I know why. God knows what we need before we need it. He always provides! Now if I could just convince HIM that I would like to have a small shopping spree without the guilt we would be alright.

I am still praying about that specific thing to give away and to what specific person. I have not felt anything for certain yet. I know it won't be money so don't hold your breath.

Christmas post...

I have been kind of up and down in my mood lately... hey, aren't those called mood swings??? Ha ha! Okay so I have been having mood swings lately and it is getting the better of me. I have been running around like a mad woman trying to keep things in order and get all the initial visits done that come after a placement. As well as the Christmas Holiday that seems to close everything for DAYS on end (or so it seems) so everything has to get packed into a shortened week so as to not miss a visit.

Moe is adjusting real well these days. I have been taking everyone's advice and just spending time with my boys and not worrying about the small stuff. It is going great! Bear is wanting to be more and more independent now. He is starting to get mad about being in his room by himself and when I take his hand and lead him toward his room he falls to the floor and just lays there! WHAT'S THAT ALL ABOUT! And where on earth do they pick that up? He is just here with me all day. It's not like he goes to a day care and sees other children acting out or anything. Hmmmm.

Okay so on with the original post. This Christmas was wonderful. I did have my moments of "uggghhh" moments when we were going from house to house for family visits. I think with both of the boys being sick it was more difficult to keep going. We started out here at our house and opened our gifts here. Moe got some fun gifts from some of his family and Bear of course was able to enjoy helping open and play with the gifts as well. I got a fun Wacom board from my fun husband as well as a wireless router (hmmmm wonder what I was destined to get later that afternoon at his parent's house.) So now I am posting from the comforts of my couch in the living room. Woohoo. I am still getting the hang of this wireless stuff but it is way more convenient to not have to be tied down to my art room when I need to be in here. We got a top for the jeep. I cannot tell you how exciting that is, especially now that the Camry is having problems and we are needing to pile in the Jeep.
The boys had a lot of fun opening gifts and playing in boxes and eating paper. Moe saw so many family members that have been waiting to see him. He kind of got real clingy this week. I think because there were so many people passing him around he kept looking for me or J and would cry if we left the room. I feel bad that he is feeling insecure so of course I have been helping him by staying around him (in close proximity) until he is secure enough for me to leave the room. When I see him loosen up and start playing on his own accord I walk away and leave him to be "alone" for a bit.
The boys got a drum set from J's brother and his wife. They were thinking it was going to be torture to us but we enjoy letting the boys experiment with "sounds" and musical instruments. Bear was a natural as soon as we got it together. Moe even enjoyed taking a turn at the sticks! I am going to try to post a video so you all can enjoy him also.
I hope you all had a wonderful time visiting family or just getting to enjoy a peaceful Christmas at home. Mostly I just hope you got to spend Jesus' Birthday with HIM!
